Building a user-centric online platform for all users

With digital quality standards becoming increasingly high, online content providers are challenged to deliver a seamless experience for all users. This is especially true for companies publishing personal development resources and therapy programs. As their content aims to contribute to the users’ well-being, providing a qualitative, straightforward and fully functional experience is key.

Founded in February 2016 by Nora Blum, Kati Bermbach and Farina Schurzfeld, Selfapy provides guided online therapies helping users to work through challenges such as depression, anxiety and eating disorders. The company recently released a free COVID-19 related program to help its users navigate through this difficult period.

Aiming to build a qualitative and user-centric product, the Selfapy product and QA teams implemented a strategy focusing on optimizing the digital experience for their users and psychologists. Working hand in hand with its dedicated Applause project team, Selfapy tests the functionality of its platform across a wide variety of devices and courses, and collects insights from the users’ as well as the psychologists’ point of view.

As Lead Product Manager at Selfapy since 2019, Raphael leads and supervises the development and optimization of the company’s online platform, ensuring a high quality experience for all users. In addition to his several years of experience in Product Management, Project Management and Marketing, he is currently completing a doctorate at the Institute for Social Medicine, Epidemiology and Health Economics at Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

Lutz works as Senior Solution Delivery Manager and Team Lead for enterprise clients in the DACH market. He has a strong focus on Automotive, Fintech and Health Tech projects. His expertise as Solution Delivery Manager as well as his Consulting background make him a QA expert combined with project management and requirements engineering experience in agile digitization and IT transformation projects.
