Travel is often not just about traveling itself. A business trip, for example, would probably not be described as relaxing by any employer who often travels by plane or train. But the real stress usually starts already when booking the trip: Budget agreements, finding flights and hotels together often cost a lot of time.

Unlike the holiday travel market, digital disruption has not yet conquered the market with its business counterparts. When TravelPerk was founded in 2015, the founders' goal was to enter this niche by transferring the digital convenience that private vacationers experience to the world of business travel. According to its own figures, TravelPerk has increased its turnover by 700 percent year on year since it was founded.

Chris is a Lead Designer with over 12 years of experience working within Travel, Finance and Big Data. Moving from high-growth Skyscanner in Edinburgh as the Design Lead on their hotels product, Chris' latest challenge has been to scale design within one of Europe's leading startups – TravelPerk. With a skillset spanning Systems-thinking, Research and User Experience Chris is always looking for creative ways to solve problems between users, business and technology. In addition, he also advises start-ups, runs design-thinking workshops and occasionally writes.

Mike is a seasoned web & mobile apps technologist. He started his career as a software engineer, led a team for a Norwegian-based media company and finally joined Applause as a Solution Engineer. Now he leads a team taking care of the EMEA market and helps customers test their digital products "In-The-Wild" while crafting top-notch testing solutions mostly around Functional Testing (both manual and automated) and Payment Testing.
