The vision of a world-class inclusivity and accessibility program should be to design and create experiences that everyone can use. However many organizations struggle to implement this vision. In this webinar, the Sam’s Club team discusses how iterative changes helped provide the momentum, the evidence and the empathy to make broader changes across the organization.
Watch hosts Jason Munski, Associate Director, Delivery at Applause and Jamila Evilsizor, Senior Design Researcher at Sam’s Club as they outline the progress they’ve made along their inclusive journey. The discussion also spotlights April Karnes, Senior Director, Head of Research and Experience Strategy at Sam’s Club covering how she aligned with senior leadership on these efforts as well.
The conversation will also incorporate three special guests from Sam's Club: Sandra Tyan, Group Product Manager; Bridget Fagan Hart, Design Researcher; Jeffrey Lui, Director, User Experience who will speak to their own experiences along the inclusivity journey.
Conducts foundational & evaluative research to inform designs in the digital and physical environment with a focus on inclusive and accessible experiences ensuring individuals from underrepresented communities can equitably benefit from the advances in the technological space.
In her work, April uses research, creative intuition, and an arsenal of user-centered activities to uncover insights that define opportunities and support corporate objectives. She also strengthens relationships with internal and external partners through process and workflow development, project prioritization, planning and scoping efforts.
